The Road to Trasanne

FUASGAIL

I stood on a rock at Trasanne,
And the waves broke in foam at my feet,
Their music was sometimes loud and grand,
And sometimes low and sweet.

Ardalanish, Ardchavaig and Ardhue
In their beauty encircle the bay,
I think of the past and the present,
And of all who are away.

The sky overhead is cloudless and blue,
And the sun shines gloriously
I stood on a rock at Trasanne,
And the waves broke in foam at my feet,
Their music was sometimes loud and grand,
And sometimes low and sweet.

Ardalanish, Ardchavaig and Ardhue
In their beauty encircle the bay,
I think of the past and the present,
And of all who are away.

The sky overhead is cloudless and blue,
And the sun shines gloriously grand,
All is so still,no sound to be heard,
Save the wave, as it rolls on the sand.

Flower and heather and grass,
Sea and rock and shore,
Are sacred all because they recall
The things of long ago.
